Walgreens invests $ 34.2 million in Hanover Microfinition Center, creating 249 new jobs

Hanover County, Virginia (WRIC) – Gov. Glen Yangkin has announced that Walgreens is investing $ 34.2 million in the establishment of a Micro-Performance Center for Valuable Pharmaceuticals at the Atlee Station Logistics Center in Hanover County.

The new facility will have automated equipment to maximize efficiency and provide a flexible work model, transform patient and pharmacy delivery services and experience when placing orders online, the governor’s office said in a release.

This location will create 249 new jobs, and Virginia has competed with several other states for the project.
