Virginia Natural Gas is awarding $ 100,000 to YELLOWHAB Farrell Williams School in Norfolk

Virginia Beach, Virginia (Wavy) – Virginia Natural Gas (VNG) makes a big donation YELLOWHAB School in Norfolk.

The energy company is donating $ 100,000 to a private school run by national record artist and Virginia Beach native Farrell Williams. Donations will be used to provide healthy eating options and resources for students and their families as part of the Feed the Youth initiative, supported by the Williams nonprofit. YELLOW.

“We support programs that enrich the communities we serve, and (happily) work with Farrell Williams again on such an important project,” said Robert Duvall, president of Virginia Natural Gas. “This school provides a very personalized education for the students who attend, and we are excited to nurture them with healthy eating options and provide access to food education.”

YELLOWHAB interim CEO Stacey Owsley says they are very grateful for the partnership with Virginia Natural Gas. “This partnership is an integral part of our ecosystem approach as we continue to develop the most important building blocks for learning – the social, emotional and physical well-being of our YELLOWHAB community,” Owsley said.

YELLOWHAB is located in the Ghent area of ​​Norfolk and caters for young children from third to fifth grade.

This is the second time the energy company has partnered with Williams. In 2019, VNG partnered with him at the first Something in Water festival and donated to the expansion of public gardens at Sitak Elementary School in Virginia Beach.
