FORT DEFIANCE – Virginia state police said a motorcyclist was hit by a pickup truck in Augusta County on Friday morning.
The incident occurred at 11:49 a.m. in the 300th quarter of Fort Defense Road, police said.
“At that time, one person was taken to receive injuries,” said Shelby Crouch, a Virginia police spokeswoman.
Additional details were not available.
The investigation into the disaster continues.
Correction: Police initially said a cyclist was involved in the crash, but later said the victim was on a motorcycle.
