Robert Patrick doesn’t watch his movies.
The 63-year-old actor, who has children Samuel and Austin with wife Barbara, is best known for his role as the villainous T-1000 in Terminator 2, but doesn’t usually watch his work unless it’s on TV.
He said: “I don’t go back and watch my movies. Every once in a while I come across them and see them. It happened recently at Christmas. My kids were at home and Copland was on. I said to my kids, ‘Are you ever seen that?’, and they said no, so we sat and watched, but I don’t do that too often.”
Meanwhile, the X-Men star went on to explain that while he initially worried he would never be able to escape the “shadow” of his more iconic roles, he now embraces his acting history because it allows him to thank the fans who have supported him .

He told HeyUGuys: “Well, sort of [up and down] so is your career. I used to think, “I’ll never get out of the T-1000’s shadow.” and “Why can’t people talk about Walk the Line or my latest movie?”
“But now, as a 63-year-old man who has had a long career and is fortunate enough to continue it, I realize what a blessing it is to have been a T-1000. I love talking to fans. In fact, I’m making an effort to meet more fans, and I really enjoy meeting them at Comic Cons and having them tell me about, “Oh, my dad and I watched that,” or “You scared the hell out of me.”
“It’s very rewarding for me because now I can physically plan to go and meet the fans who have supported me over the years.”
