Some OmniRide buses are moving to a new schedule this month

Some of the Prince William County OmniRide commuter bus routes from next week will change schedule.

On some OmniRide commuter bus routes in Prince William County, Virginia, the schedule will be changed from next week.

Starting Monday, Feb. 28, the Northern Virginia transit provider is introducing spring changes to services on local and express routes. New schedules can be viewed online and can be obtained from bus operators.

The following local and express routes have schedule changes:

  • Dale City
  • Dumfries
  • Woodbridge / Lake Ridge
  • Montclair Express (MC)

In addition, these routes will have other changes:

  • Tyson Express (T): New Folding Connections to Virginia Rail Express Trains.
  • Dumfries: Alena Dent’s bus stop heading south is moving.
  • Manasas: buses heading south will miss the Novant Hospital stop; alternative – in Sudley and Diggs. Buses heading north will still serve the hospital stop.

The Potomac and Rappahanaca Transport Commission said free tariffs on local and Metro Express services continue to promote fast boarding and social distancing. Express buses are still only cash, but accept SmarTrip as payment.

All passengers are still required to wear face masks on buses in accordance with federal mandates.
