Police: teenager received possible life-threatening injuries after shooting near Chesapeake community center

CHESAPIK, Virginia (Wavy) – Police say a teenage boy received life-threatening injuries after being shot in Chesapeake on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, officers were called in connection with reports of shootings near the community center in the 900 quarter on King Arthur Drive shortly after 1pm on Saturday.

Arriving at the scene, police found that the teenager had received gunshot wounds. The victim was sent to a local hospital with, according to police, injuries potentially life-threatening.
