Police: man found shot dead in South Richmond expected to survive

RICHMAND, Virginia (WRIC) – Police said a man found shot dead in South Richmond on Monday night is expected to survive.

Officers responded to the 2,900-block Richmond Highway at 10:37 p.m., Feb. 7, to report gunfire in the area.

Authorities found the man with gunshot wounds, who was then taken to a local hospital, a Richmond police e-mail said Tuesday. According to police, the men had non-life-threatening injuries.
