A substitute teacher working at Leesburg High School has been charged with assaulting a student.
A substitute teacher working at a high school in Leesburg, Virginia, has been charged with assaulting a student.
Hans Mirzai, 68, of Leesburg, has been charged with assault and battery, Leesburg police said Monday. On Sunday, he was issued a summons and released.
Police said on Sept. 16, a Tuscarora High School staff member received a report that Mirzai had forcibly removed a student from a classroom around 2 p.m. The school system removed Mirzai from the building per their policy, police said. The teenage schoolboy did not report any injuries, but Mirzai did indicted as a result of the police investigation.
