In a message to parents, Lunsford Principal Carrie Sims said many parents are aware of their children’s participation in fight clubs and hold fights in their garages or basements.
The fights spilled over into Lunsford’s hallways and bathrooms, Simms said, prompting administrators to discover social media activity that revealed more information about the fight clubs.
“We can’t tell you how to be a parent, but if your kids create TikToks and Instagram pages using Lunsford’s name and then try to start these fights in our hallways and bathrooms, we will take action,” Simms said in her post. .
The fighting prompted a “reset” last Friday morning. Pupils were not given 20 minutes of free time to walk around the school and talk with friends.
“Unfortunately, some students created a very dangerous situation for everyone, and we needed to start school in peace,” Simms said.
