Lewis Ginter offers a first look at the newly renovated house on Klaus’ family tree

HENRICA CANTI, Va. (WRIC) — Visitors to the Lewis Ginther Botanical Garden will soon be able to enjoy a newly renovated version of one of the garden’s most popular attractions.

The Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is planning two new projects at the Children’s Garden this spring — improvements to the Claus Family Tree House and a new WaterPlay area.

The treehouse is currently undergoing renovations and is expected to reopen on April 1st. The Garden recently offered a look at the renovated tower.

Klaus’ family treehouse sits 13 feet off the ground and is accessed via a series of sloping ramps. At the top, visitors can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the lake and garden exhibits below.

The opening of the new WaterPlay area in the Kindergarten is planned for May. The garden is planning open this area in the warm season as a place for children to cool off in refreshing fountains and splashes.

During the reconstruction of the territory, access to certain parts of the kindergarten is limited.
