HOPEWELL, Va (WRIC) – The Hopewell Police Department is asking for help in identifying a driver who left the scene of an accident that left one person in critical condition.

According to Hopewell police, around 6:20 a.m. on Saturday around 6:20 a.m. on the corner of High Avenue and Courthouse Road a car collided with a motorcycle. The driver of the car got out, looked at the driver of the motorcycle and got back into his car, which was moving south on Route 156 towards Prince George County.

The motorcycle driver is in critical condition.

The fleeing driver is described as a heavy black man with a silver four-door sedan with body damage and broken glass.
