Gene Simmons is not afraid of death

Gene Simmons is not afraid of death.

The 73-year-old KISS rocker has insisted that unless he’s hit by a car, he’s not afraid of death and will walk away knowing what an “amazing life” he’s been blessed with.

Speaking to Goldmine magazine, he said: “I’d be a complete fool, certainly more than I am now, if I wasn’t grateful for this amazing life.

“I mean, if it ended today, I know my tombstone would say, ‘Thank you and good night.’

What else can you hope for?

“So I’m not afraid of death unless a car drives right into your face.

You say, “Oh my God!” But it’s just an instinct.”

The “Detroit Rock City” hitmaker added that he wants to make sure his finances are in order before he leaves this world so his family doesn’t end up with big bills.

Asked if he thinks about his own mortality more now that he is 70 years old, he said: “I do, but only from the point of view of pragmatism, which is the actual will.

“I want to make sure there’s no taxes, no liens, nothing to take care of my family and my kids, just pragmatic business concerns.”

Gene, who previously dated fellow music stars Cher and Diana Ross, has daughter Sophie, 30, and son Nick, 33, with wife Shannon Tweed.
