Fashions for Evergreens returns to Hotel Roanoke

ROANOKE, VA. – A popular holiday tradition at the Roanoke Hotel is back on Thursday. This year, more than 25 organizations and businesses are participating in Fashions for Evergreens.

The beautiful trees on display are part of the annual tree decorating contest. It’s free to the public, but visitors can donate to vote for their favorite. There is a vote online or in person and all donations go to United Way of Roanoke Valley.

This event has raised over $7,000 for the United Way to date.

“Every time someone goes and votes for their favorite tree by making a monetary donation, every cent goes back here to United Way of Roanoke Valley, and every day our work with United Way is about helping others here in our community.” said Kiana Price Marshall, vice president of marketing and communications for United Way of Roanoke Valley.

The Fashions for Evergreens competition will continue until the New Year.
