Fairfax Co. Police. is asking the public to help find the jewelry store robbers

Fairfax County police are asking for help in locating three men they believe were involved in the robberies of three local jewelry stores.

Police in Fairfax County, Virginia are asking for help locating three men believed to be involved in the robbery of three local jewelry stores.

The Fairfax County Police Department reports that three men entered Prince Jewelers in Tysons Corner Center on September 8 at 2:45 p.m., where they smashed windows and stole watches and jewelry.

Shortly after 1 p.m. on September 18, two men walked into Henzley Jewelers in the Fair Oaks Shopping Center. Police said they destroyed a storefront and stole many high-end watches.

The same three are accused in these two incidents. In each situation, they used hammers to break windows and fled the scene in stolen vehicles. Police said the stolen vehicles were found in nearby parking lots.

According to the camera footage, they were black men about six feet tall, medium build and wearing gloves and masks.

On Sept. 20 at 11:50 a.m., police said two men entered Sonia’s Jewelers & Boutique Inc. at 6681 Backlick Road in Springfield. One man was let into the store, suspecting that he was buying jewelry. He then pulled out a gun and demanded the store employees let the other man in.

Police said the two men used sledgehammers to destroy storefronts and left the scene in a black Lexus SUV with stolen license plates. In this situation, the stolen car was not found.

The surveillance footage shows a black man wearing a white coat, who police describe as 5’11”, of thin build with a beard. The second suspect is a black man wearing a red and black sweatshirt, described by police as 6-foot-3 and of medium build.

No injuries have been reported in the cases as police continue to investigate to determine if the robberies are connected.
