AutoZone will open an East Coast distribution center in Virginia

Former Gov. Ralph Northam has approved a $ 2.5 million grant to help New Kent County with a project that is also eligible for other incentives.

Auto parts retailer and auto parts distributor AutoZone will open a new distribution and import facility in Virginia, creating more than 350 new jobs.

This is stated in a press release issued on Friday by the office of Governor Glen Yangkin.

The company is investing $ 185.2 million in the construction of an 800,000-square-foot facility east of Richmond in New Kent County that will serve as a distribution center on the East Coast.

The project is expected to be a company headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, to create 352 full-time jobs at an uncertain wage rate.
