At the “Homecoming” concert, Drake was a star among the best

WESTERN HALYWOOD, CA. – Among the stars, Drake still shone brightest.

In all-white clothes the owner of a multiple Grammy won many visitors vying for the position to watch him perform at a Super Bowl week party called “Homecoming Weekend” on Saturday night. He made a dramatic entrance, rushing down the aisle before performing on the central stage under an air tent at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California.

The crowd included several artists and athletes such as Isa Ray, Mike Tyson in a mask, Lil Wayne, Paul Pierce, Derrick Henry, Ricky Gervais, John Ham, Nicole Scherzinger, Cedric the Entertainer, Caruche Tran and Flavo Flaw.

While waiting for Drake, the participants mingled for a couple of hours. But as soon as he arrived, many flocked to the stage and took out their phones to capture most of his 45-minute set.

Drake told the crowd that he was originally asked to perform about five songs, but he expanded his song list three times. The rapper said he felt compelled to perform for longer because of where he came from.

“To do that, they flew me out of three feet of snow, so I have to perform for you,” said Drake, who performed several bangers, including “No Friends in the Industry” and “Girls Want Girls” from his recent album Certified Lover Boy ».

The rap star spoke about being able to perform in person and thanked everyone present.

“I’m sure at some point we’re all sitting at home – maybe a little depressed, maybe a little disappointed, maybe a little confused,” he said. “I want to say a toast to how grateful I am to have been in this (loyal) room with each of you. I wasn’t sure how or when we would be able to do it again. But congratulations to each of you. More life.

Drake continued to perform his other hits, including “Controlla”, “God’s Plan”, “Too Much” and “Passion Fruit”. He surprised the crowd with a guest performance of Future, who performed “Way 2 Sexy” with Drake in front of his very popular “March Madness”.

In the end, Drake paid tribute to Lila Wayne, who watched from the section before concluding the set, playing Dolly Parton’s song “I Will Always Love You,” which Whitney Houston made famous. He, along with many in the crowd, sang every word of the classical melody.

Proof of vaccination was required from 1,500 guests. Only a few wore masks, including Tyson.

The Homecoming Weekend show helped complete a week of entertainment that led to Sunday’s Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, the first in the Los Angeles area in nearly three decades when Rams ’hometown met the Cincinnati Bengals.

Justin Bieber sang and danced on the first night of the event, presented by The h.wood Group, REVOLVE, PLACES.CO and Uncommon Entertainment.

The staff were dressed in football uniforms, playing with fictional versions of dishes at the stadium, including vegetable-based chicken snacks, french fries with garlic and small pizzas.
