This was stated in a statement by Governor Glen Yangkin’s administration on Wednesday.

According to a press release, the facility in Augusta County is expected to be operational in the spring of 2023 and will add to Amazon’s existing workforce, which has more than 30,000 full-time and part-time employees in Virginia.

The 1 million-square-foot facility in Fishersville will be responsible for collecting, packing and delivering large or bulky items such as patio furniture, outdoor equipment and carpets.
