Almira Zaki will represent Virginia at the American Song Contest

(WCMH) – NBC has announced 56 artists to perform “American Song Contest”, presenters: Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg.

NBC’s new series is based on the “Eurovision Song Contest”, one of the longest running TV shows in history with 65 seasons.

The artists cover a wide range of fame and will represent all 50 states, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Washington, DC, the network said.

NBC has revealed that the list includes “undiscovered talents, future new artists and rising stars to famous and legendary icons.”

I will represent Virginia Almira ZakiIndonesian singer and songwriter in the style of R&B, influenced by the music of the 90s and 2000s.

The network also says the artist’s original songs will be released weekly by music partner Atlantic Records, which will begin releasing tracks at midnight starting Monday, March 21st.

Audrey Morrissey, executive producer of the American Song Contest, is happy to share the series’ music with viewers.

“Launching a new series is always a big deal, but editing, which includes the creation of 56 original songs, is a Herculean task,” said Morrissey. “Choosing the right label partner to work with us was crucial and we found the perfect partner at Atlantic Records. We can’t wait for the audience to discover new music from our incredibly talented performers from all over the country and help decide on America’s next great song. “

The live show will run for eight weeks, premiere on Monday, March 21 on WAVY TV 10, and end with the “Grand Final” scheduled for May 9, 2022.
