A man was stabbed with a pencil during a robbery at a Chesapeake store

Chesapeake, Virginia (Wavy) – Police said a man was injured after being wounded with a pencil during a robbery Tuesday night.

The robbery took place around 9:25 p.m. at a store in the 1,000-block George Washington Highway in Chesapeake, a police officer said.

The suspect, a woman believed to be about 40 years old, hit the man with a pencil, robbed him and then fled.

The victim is expected to survive, police said.
