HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – A man wanted in connection with a recent shooting near Buckroe Avenue in Hampton was arrested without incident Thursday in the Bronx, New York.
Trevon Adir Gilliam, 19, was arrested without incident with the assistance of the Metropolitan Area Fugitive Task Force and the US Marshals Service in New York.
Gilliam was identified by Hampton police as a suspect in a shooting that left a Portsmouth man hospitalized on May 17 after officers responded to a call about shots fired in the area of Buckroe Avenue and North First Street around 9:30 p.m.
Police said Gilliam has warrants for assault, attempted robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
