A local ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new clinic and mobile department will be held at local animal shelters

NORFOLK, Virginia (WAVY) – Two local animal shelters will begin the opening of their new veterinary clinic and mobile office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, February 17th.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. at 5585 Saber Rd in Norfolk.

The Norfolk Animal Care and Adoption Center (NACC) and the new Portsmouth Humanitarian Society (PHS) clinic will provide sterilization and castration and animal treatment services.

With the launch of NACC’s first mobile division, Waggin ’Wheels, NACC can expand its pet adoption and outreach services beyond Hampton Rows.

Due to the limitations of COVID-19, officials advise that only media representatives and special invited guests may attend the grand opening / cutting of the NACC and PHS ribbons. All participants will need face masks.
