A 14-year-old student at Bethel High in Hampton has been arrested on charges of making threats

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVE) — A 14-year-old student at Bethel High in Hampton has been arrested and charged with making threats.

According to Hampton Police, on Jan. 17, officers received a report of a student who allegedly had a bullet on school property.

After an investigation by school officials, no bullets were found. The next day, officers were alerted to emails involving the same student “forwarding threatening statements” to another person the night before the bullet incident.

After further investigation, police arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection with the incidents. The teenager is charged with one count of threatening to cause bodily harm.
